Establishing a PE requires careful planning and ticking off all the important boxes and steps in order to smoothly execute it. Therefore, we are seeking motivated and high-caliber individuals to join our team of professionals as Analyst - Economic Policy.


The role is an opportunity to work as a leading member of PINA’s team, creating market-leading analysis and forecasting, allowing our clients to make informed and confident decisions at all stages of the supply chain. In addition, the principal analyst will have an opportunity to work on mobile Jakarta-Bali to visit our project as part of the role whilst also presenting PINA’s market view.


Objective:

Our analysts will contribute in developing a market and business analysis to strengthen our investment thesis. You will undertake a detailed analysis of current market and supply trends, create forecasts based on the wide range of data available within PINA’s internal models, and present these findings to clients in technical reports and presentations. In addition, the role will work closely with teams covering assets, sustainability, and bespoke consultancy.


Key Responsibilities

• Build a network with clients, investees, investors, regulators, and other major stakeholders in the investment ecosystem environment


• Systematically and proactively identify potential investment opportunities and prepare insightful market analysis for our short and long-term reports


• Drive due diligence processes and critically evaluate management teams, market opportunities, as well as technical and financial aspects of investment opportunities


• Analyze complex capital structures, structured financing, startup valuation, build financial models to forecast investment returns, and compile and present investment memos to the investment committee


• Support deal execution, including oversight of legal matters


• Support the senior team with their board governance tasks and help monitor operating milestones in the investment portfolio as well as performance vs expectations


• Identify and facilitate partnership opportunities between portfolio companies


• Support portfolio companies in strategic and operating matters on an ad-hoc basis


Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree (preferably overseas graduate) with GPA >3. Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline (e.g. Economics/ Business, Statistics, Finance, Accounting etc.)


• Preference for Private Equity and Investment Banking with high impact experience in global companies and/or start-ups


• Proven granular and numerical analytic capabilities, including problem-solving and technical skills in Excel


• Presentation experience


• An ability to write concisely and draw out key points


• Strong organisation and planning skills plus the ability to manage own workload


• The ability to work as part of a team which may involve multiple locations and time zones


• A willingness to travel to multiple companies and client offices, and undertake industry/project site visits


• A strong commitment to commercial excellence and meeting the high-quality standards expected by our clients


• Preferably English Proficiency Level is advanced/ proficient (IELTS ≥7.5) or equivalent TOEFL iBT score
