Job Description
About The Team
We are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist capable of handling all aspects of the payroll function. The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple tasks throughout the day while maintaining high accuracy in their work and production. The specialist may be required to estimate modifications to pay rates based on overtime, time off, etc.
This role ensures that all stakeholders are kept informed, that the various and different payroll and related processes are administered appropriately, that assigned projects are delivered within scope, schedule, budget, and quality, and that accuracy levels are consistent with expectations.
What you'll do:
  • Take the initiative; demonstrate strong decision-making and organizational skills.
  • Maintain time and attendance records
  • Independently coordinate and communicate with all internal groups, hiring managers, and external parties (as required).
  • Calculate and record payroll deductions (voluntary and involuntary)
  • Post changes in pay, tax status, and other miscellaneous categories
  • Prepare detailed Monthly Reports and Analysis for Personnel Cost Forecast
  • Calculate and prepare general journal entries for Accounting
  • Compile payroll data for management, auditors, and others
  • Review output registers and reports and correct out-of-balance conditions
  • Document any files and working files neatly
  • Provide insights based on reports
  • Initiate best practices; develop efficiency improvements
  • Be risk aware and help identify, report, mitigate and track risks in the payroll delivery process
  • Reconcile earnings and deduction totals
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned
  • Process advance, termination, and other out-of-cycle payments
  • Input, review, and audit timekeeping and other payroll-related records
  • Compute wage, overtime, and other types of pay
  • Enter new hires into the payroll system
  • Perform tasks to establish and maintain employee payroll records:
  • Address and resolve problems promptly, assure that all employees receive timely responses to inquiries, questions, and others and also internal communications
  • Ensure timely Statutory Payments and Reporting
What we're looking for:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Business level of Indonesian language proficiency and Fluency in English
  • A proactive, 'let's get it done' attitude geared towards continuous improvement
  • Ability to be self-motivated and self-directed and think and act independently while also being team oriented
  • Demonstrated proficiency in payroll and HRIS software, Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, and other databases
  • Structured working style and focus on delivering results as per agreed timescales and scope
  • Has proficient understanding in knowledge of compliance, legal, labor law, and industrial relations regulations for payroll & benefits
  • Good follow-up skills; the ability to understand; adaptability to process changes; and a strong sense of importance and ownership
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience hands-on experience in managing Payroll, Time & Attendance processes, within a complex international organization
  • Strong analytical, high attention to detail and accuracy, excellent troubleshooting skills, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to operate in a fast-paced, developing project environment, taking ownership and setting directions with minimal guidance
