About the Volunteer Opportunity

As a Research and Data Collection Volunteer, your role would be to regularly go through sources of information to identify mergers and acquisitions that are happening in the UK technology industry. These sources of information could be news websites, investor portfolios, blogs, newsletters etc.

You will have to then capture the information regarding the merger or acquisition and enter it onto a spreadsheet.

It will be important to stay up-to-date on the UK technology landscape and consistently find new sources of information where you can collect information from as the data you collect will be used to update our news sitehttps://www.uktechexits.news.

NOTE: This role is not related to Data Analytics. It has more to do with researching and capturing data.

Duration

– 3 months

– At least 2 hours per day

– Part-time

– Remote

Volunteer Activities

Working with our CEO and Deal Collection and Publication Lead, your volunteer role includes:

-Consistently scout news websites, investor portfolios, blogs, newsletters to identify mergers and acquisitions that are taking place in the UK technology industry.

-Identify and capture data such as the company names, dates, etc.

-Enter this data onto a Google spreadsheet.

Requirements

– Fluent in English

– Excellent communication skills

– Strong attention to detail

– Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

– Excellent Record Keeping

Acquired Experience and Skills

This is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience towards a research/data entry related role and significantly improve your understanding of the technology industry in the UK. You would also have the option to move to the Data Entry, Data Audit or Data Enrichment teams later by extending your volunteer term.
