Remote Sensing Officer Jobs

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking to recruit a Remote Sensing Officer to support our organization's spatial data management and analysis needs. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing geospatial data, supporting project teams with mapping and visualization needs, and ensuring data quality and integrity.

MAIN TASKS

The Remote Sensing Officer will be responsible for the following:

• Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of spatial data and associated analyses, including the development and implementation of data quality assurance procedures.
• Providing technical support and training to project teams and other stakeholders on the use of geospatial data and analysis tools.
• Providing regular progress reports and updates to project teams and other stakeholders on spatial data management and analysis activities, achievements, and challenges.
• Collaborating with other team members to identify spatial data needs and to develop and implement effective spatial analysis methods and tools.
• Collaborating with external partners and stakeholders to identify and acquire relevant geospatial data.
• Supporting project teams with mapping and visualization needs, including the development of maps and other spatial products to support project planning and decision making.
• Managing and analyzing geospatial data, including data acquisition, processing, and quality control.
• Supporting the development of project proposals, budgets, and work plans related to spatial data management and analysis.
• Developing and maintaining spatial databases and associated metadata to ensure data accessibility and data sharing.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of spatial data standards and best practices.
• Willingness to travel
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• At least 1 year of experience in geospatial data management and analysis.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in geodetic engineering, geography, environmental science, or a related field.
• Good communication in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong technical expertise in the use of geospatial software and tools, such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
