THE OPPORTUNITY
Requirements
Open to global talent. Looking for someone to work 20-30 hours per week.
Project Overview:
DTC system migration project where we are exporting out of an old system and
importing into a new system. During this migration we are transforming all the
data in the old system, to meet the new systems requirements, as well as the
businesses requirements; before importing into the new system. Each migration
is for a select number of Brands and is happening every month or so, until all
Brands have been migrated. Auditing, Issues & Solutions, New Business
Requests, New System Requirements, etc., can all happen in between and
during these migrations and need to be handled in a quick and thoughtful manor.
Responsibilities:

• Azure Data Factory (and potentially Data Flow(s)) to automate the migration process.
• This person’s responsibilities for this project will mainly be centered around the Azure SQL Database and managing data transformations based on business/system needs and requests.
• Managing the data transformations requires making changes to database objects (ie. Tables, Views, Indexes, etc).

First Few Deliverables:

• Create/Adjust audit Views to align with business needs for validation purposes.
• Adjust database View query logic to prevent duplicate records from being generated.
• Automating the migration process using Azure Data Factory by building out a pipeline (and if necessary, Data Flow(s)).
• Learn migration orchestration/process, to run the next migration.
