Product & Application Engineer (Automotive Division)

Role:

The Product & Application Engineer (Bearing Automotive Division) is responsible for defining the technical needs of our customers and translating them into product offerings, manage and lead technical partnership with customers, identifying opportunities, responding to inquiries, handling complaints, evaluating, and mitigating technical risks.

Key Responsibilities:

•Engineering Value creation & position to customer. E.g., ASO, Technical advancement etc.

•Analyze customer specific requirements & funnel it to product offerings.

•Align with all internal stakeholders before any commitment to customer.

•Work to align full value chain & communication.

•Identify your strategic accounts.

•Build trust & partnership with customer.

•Identify the business opportunities in advance, work on RFI & RFQ’s stages.

•Identify Sponsor, Anti-Sponsor at customer, Strategic coaches & Any players at customer end.

•Work closely with SKF sales & other internal stakeholders.

•Generate profitable business to organization.

•Run DV testing, evaluate results & prepare green report for industrialization.

•Support on vehicle after market.

•Technical deviations to factory, if needed to continue with production.

Qualification :

-Mechanical / Automotive Engineering

-Automotive engineering experience is advantage

-Min Bachelor of engineering

-Preferred Industrial experience of 5 years

Technical Responsibilities :

-Read & decode engineering specifications.

-Automotive system level knowledge.

-Know-how on design concepts, DFMEA, DVP etc.

-Experience on product selection software’s.

-Automotive industry background.

-Know-how on bearing investigations & failure analysis: Level 1.
