As we prepare to break into the Indonesian market, we are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist who can also provide support in business development activities in Jakarta during the pre-operational phase of our warehouse.
Job Summary:
The Pharmacist will primarily ensure that all preparations for the warehouse and products meet the regulatory requirements of Indonesia, particularly as stipulated by BPOM. Additionally, in a supporting capacity, they will assist our business development team on the ground as we establish a foothold in the Indonesian market.
Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance & Approval: Work closely with BPOM and other regulatory bodies to ensure all pre-operational requirements are met, and assist in obtaining necessary permits and certifications for the warehouse.
- Ensure Imported Product Compliance: Ensure that all imported products meet BPOM regulations and other relevant Indonesian standards.
- Quality Assurance Planning: Develop and implement quality assurance protocols for future warehouse operations, including product handling and storage - in line with local standards and regulations.
- Liaison with Authorities: Act as the primary contact with BPOM, Kemenkes, and other regulatory bodies, facilitating pre-operational inspections and compliance checks.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all pre-operational activities, certifications, compliance efforts, and business development support initiatives, reporting to both local authorities and the company's management.
- Support in Business Development: Assist the business development team in identifying potential leads, possibly attending meetings, and providing insights on product compliance and market trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Biology, or related field. Candidates who are licensed pharmacists with the Kemenkes are preferred.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in product registration and dealing with related government agencies, i.e., BPOM, Kemenkes.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Possess intermediate tech literacy.
- Basic understanding or interest in business development, preferably in the beauty industry. Great interpersonal skills will come in handy to facilitate these interactions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge and/or interest in staying current with the latest trends in beauty in Indonesia is a big plus.
- Excellent communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English - written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently on a day-to-day basis, and also as part of a wider multicultural team.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian regulations, particularly BPOM requirements.
