As a part of Nickel Industries Limited (Australian public company emerging as a globally significant, low-cost nickel producer of nickel pig iron, a key ingredient in the production of stainless steel), PT Hengjaya Mineralindo (HM) holds a 100% interest in the Hengjaya Mine, a global top 10 nickel resource located in the Morowali Regency on the east coast of the province of Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. HM is one of the only large tonnage, high-grade saprolite mines in close proximity to the Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP). In December 2022, HM was awarded a “Green PROPER” rating by the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), becoming the only mine in Central Sulawesi to achieve this status and one of only two in the country. The mine has now established itself as a showpiece for sustainable and responsible mining in Indonesia.

Mining Operation Superintendent

Responsibilities:

• Identify potential work accidents / environmental damage and take preventive and corrective measures.
• Check and evaluate reports on the mining process and results
• Lead, Supervise, and report on all mining activities, including the transportation of disposal of all materials (Waste, limonite and Saprolite) within the scope of his supervision based on the direction of superiors
• Understand block modeling, pit design, mine scheduling, grade control modeling, and pit optimization
• Contractors management related mining and hauling activity
• Compile and propose a production work plan and monitor the achievement of production targets in accordance with established production parameters.
• Monitor, analyze and evaluate the performance of the Contractor.
• Monitor and evaluate operational costs & productivity on a periodic basis.
• Lead, manage and report related hauling activity, including management road maintenance haul road activity
• Resolve obstacles that occur and develop sustainable productivity targeting.
• Analyze daily, weekly, monthly and annual production reports and mining costs and compare them with mining plans and budgets.

Requirements:

• Have POP & POM certificate
• Have knowledge of mine software (Surpac, Micromine, etc.)
• Min. Bachelor Degree in Mining / Geological Engineering
• Fluent communication skills in English both verbal and written
• Min. 2 years experience as a Mine Operation Superintendent
• Min. 8 years experience in mining companies (Having experience in nickel mining is a plus)
• Willing to be placed on the Morowali, Central Sulawesi
