About The CEO (Mining) Role

You will play a pivotal role in overseeing mining concessions, evaluating potential M&A opportunities, ensuring financial soundness, managing operational sites, and providing strong leadership to the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with local regulations, licenses, and permits
• Lead and strategise the company's mining concessions, including potential M&A opportunities
• Manage fully operated mine sites, ensuring production targets and quality standards are met
• Engage with the owner to align strategies and drive growth
• Evaluate market conditions and develop optimal selling strategies
• Analyse financial statements and drive financial performance (P&L, EBITDA)
• Mentor, lead, and manage a diverse team to foster collaboration and growth
• Make informed strategic decisions based on industry trends, market dynamics, and competition

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of mining operations and trading, excellent financial acumen, and effective team management skills.

Key Requirements

• Three to five years of senior leadership experience in mining or construction as VP or Director
• Familiarity with coal and/or nickel mining (preferred)
• Awareness of Indonesian mining conditions and markets
• Fluent English communication skills; additional languages, especially Mandarin will be a plus due to the nature of the role
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyse financial statements
• Effective leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams
• Based in Jakarta and willing to travel frequently for site visits and market familiarity
• Proficiency in trading and operations, preferably in coal or nickel
