Job Description

Our business is built on a Sustainable Forest Management Policy. Our operations include a state-of-the-art pulp and paper mill and plantation forests in Riau Province, Sumatra, Indonesia. We directly employ more than 5,000 people and 90,000 more work in businesses that supply or support us.


Our pulp and paper is capable of producing up to 2.8 million tons of pulp and 1.15 million tons of paper per year. The mill is one of TOP FIVE MOST EFFICIENT pulp and paper mills in the world. It uses world-class engineering and technology to produce quality pulp and paper products. We operate the mill on the principles of “lean manufacturing”, which results in efficient practices in the use of energy and water and in minimizing emissions.


We are seeking for a Media coordinator position for our company. In this role you will be responsible for media planning, content creation and event management. Responsibilities include supporting campaign management and monitoring, making sure all media projects are executed based on agreed strategies and timeline. You will also be responsible for building and sustaining the company’s reputation.


Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor media coverage and stay informed about industry trends and relevant market insights
  • Develop and implement media plans to effectively promote the company’s products, initiatives and key messages. This includes identifying target audiences and selecting appropriate media channels.
  • Coordinate campaigns across different media platforms such as print, digital and social media.
  • Ensure an integrated planning across media platforms such as print, digital and social media from end-to-end.
  • Ensure regular narrative through strategic public relations efforts in the media. This includes press releases, coordinating media interviews, organizing press conferences, and events.
  • Support crisis communications plans and protocols to effectively manage and respond to media.


Experience:

  • Working experience in corporate communications or public relations on site, leading PR agencies or family business.
  • Has successfully managed project involving multiple external and internal stakeholders from end to end.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong understanding of media planning, content creation, and event management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Relevant Skills:

  • Experience in event planning and execution, including logistics management and coordination
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using media monitoring and analytical tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey ideas, collaborate with team members, liaise with media.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
