Exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to expand their skills within Digital Marketing, or has previous marketing experience and looking to cultivate more advanced skills. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies to build interest in the a web platform which is currently in development, grow the mailing list, and promote businesses on social media. The role will involve planning and executing marketing campaigns, content creation, community engagement, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Social Media Strategy:

1. Develop a social media strategy to build awareness and engagement with the target audience.
2. Identify relevant social media platforms and channels for the project.
3. Create a content calendar and schedule for regular posting.

• Content Creation:

1. Generate compelling and engaging content, including text, images, and videos, to promote the platform and attract the target audience.
2. Develop a consistent brand voice and style for the project’s social media presence.
3. Collaborate with other businesses (if available) to create visually appealing graphics and visuals to promote their business in an engaging way

• Community Building and Engagement:

1. Engage with the target audience, industry influencers, and potential users on social media platforms.
2. Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly and professionally.
3. Foster a sense of community and encourage user-generated content and interactions.

• Mailing List Growth:

1. Develop strategies to grow the project’s mailing list, including lead generation campaigns and opt-in incentives.
2. Create and manage email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and drive engagement.
3. Monitor and analyze email marketing metrics to optimize performance.

• Collaborations and Partnerships:

1. Identify opportunities for collaborations and partnerships with relevant businesses, organizations, or influencers.
2. Reach out to potential partners and negotiate mutually beneficial arrangements to expand the project’s reach and visibility.

• Analytics and Reporting:

1. Track and analyze social media metrics, website traffic, and engagement data using tools such as Google Analytics or social media analytics platforms.
2. Provide regular reports on marketing performance, key insights, and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

*Prior experience in marketing or social media management is desirable.

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

*Proficient in using social media platforms, content creation tools, and email marketing platforms.

*Strong knowledge of social media trends, best practices, and analytics.

*Creative thinking and the ability to generate engaging content.

*Analytical skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

*Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.

*Passion for digital marketing, community building, and supporting local businesses.
