We are looking for Manager Flavor Development who will be based in Plant Sukorejo, Pasuruan. You will be responsible to

• To innovate and develop Asia's OTP and Virginia flavor system in order to achieve superiority in quality and competitiveness to meet adult smokers requirements in Asia markets where PMI's OTP are legally sold.
• To innovate and develop kretek flavor system in order to achieve superiority in quality and competitiveness to meet adult smokers requirements in Indonesia and any market where HMS/PMI kretek cigarette products are legally sold
• Lead all HMS flavors maintenance activities in order to sustain superiority in quality while also actively looking for complexity reduction & cost efficiency and always ensuring all ingredients to meet product regulatory compliance
• Lead flavor kitchen facility to produce HMS semi concentrate for kretek portfolio according to production plan and HMS quality standard (quality, uptime, cost, waste, safety)
• Lead a company security policy to ensure company assets in Flavor Compounding Facility and Flavor Lab are well protected and also manages the safety, health and environmental programs at Flavor Compounding Facility area and Flavor Lab facility.

Your day to day

• Lead innovation of flavor creation related with other components such as tipping paper, filter, tobacco stem, cigarette paper or recon and new cigarette product in line with project objectives and Product Development.
• Proactively looking for new or novel flavor application system Monitors market intelligence to ascertain trend changes in consumer preference to anticipate new flavor directions for creative action.
• Actively looking for alternative vendors, oversees the procurement process and/or oversees the production of required casings and flavors in-house.
• Lead casing and flavors maintenance activities on existing flavors to ensure consistent taste / aroma of the final products.
• Vendor Qualification and Supplier Relationships
• Delivering product knowledge training, present expertise and provide solid guidance to all related parties to ensure that flavor business in the company is handling properly from incoming, warehousing up to application.
• Flavor Creation and Development
• Proactively lead experiments with the development and testing of new casings and flavors in anticipation of new and/or changing market/consumer/industry best practices, included transition on government regulation.
• Flavor Production (FCF) Flavor Compounding Facility
• Flavor Technology Project Support
• Manage and plan in establishing production schedule referring to PPIC schedule, converted into daily basis activities (500,000 - 600,000 tons/year)
• Manages and control the flavor compound production to achieve the production target with optimum uptime, good quality and minimum cost.
• Develop talents to ensure regeneration process inside Flavor Technology
• Produce and provide casing and flavor for every prototyping in pilot plant for Asia prototyping.
• Manages of company security policy to ensure company assets in Flavor Compounding Facility area are properly protected.
• Manages the safety, health, and environmental programs at Flavor Compounding Facility area, to comply with regulation and ensure that company written policy on Safety, Health and Environment are well implemented.
• Lead the casings and flavors development for new cigarette products and to meet customer preference (kretek, Asia's OTP and Asia's Virginia product)
• Maintains ongoing appropriate and mutually beneficial relationships with vendors. Organization Development
• Manages and leads the simplification and/or substitutes of existing HMS casing and flavor formulations in line with product specifications, company business directives and/or industry best practices / PMI Compliance
• Flavor Formulas Maintenance & Integrity
• Plans, manages, the flavor production (Flavor Compounding Facility) semi concentrate to ensure consistent the quality of the final product.
• People Development
• Give the flavor and product expertise in some initiative related to primary and secondary for process improvement as well as innovation related to flavor.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Solid experience in Cigarette/flavors Company as Flavorist
• Have deep understanding in tobacco and clove types
• Fluent both in English and Bahasa Indonesia
• Have bachelor's degree in engineering or sciences
• Have deep understanding in sensory and description of single flavor ingredients
