PURPOSE AND EXPECTATIONS

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Data Usage & Cloud Delivery Counsel include the following

The Global Field Legal Office is seeking an experienced attorney to proactively drive practical solutions and transparency to complex data governance and cloud delivery topics that impact global field legal teams. The Data Usage & Cloud Delivery Counsel is expected to be a self-starter with the ability to independently produce knowledge resources that provide practical answers to reoccurring operational and data usage questions.

• Providing clear and concise topic-specific guidance to field legal teams
• Creating and maintaining topic-specific playbooks and FAQs
• Coordinating with various legal teams (Compliance, Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Product Counseling)
• Providing enablement on evolving cloud strategy and delivery models (e.g. impact of hyperscalers)
• Coordinating with RGCs (or regional leads) and building a network of topic-specific legal champions
• Managing topic-specific contractual standards, fallbacks, and prohibitions
• Acting as an escalation point for local legal on data governance and cloud delivery, including participation with local legal on customer negotiations for such issues on key strategic deals.

The Data Usage & Cloud Delivery Counsel will also be responsible for providing a “field legal” perspective on strategic projects related to cloud delivery strategy, customer data usage, cybersecurity, data center infrastructure, and the overall product development lifecycle.

The role will report to the Head of the Field Legal Office and will regularly collaborate with security, cloud operations, cloud delivery, and various teams within Regulatory Affairs, Tech Law & Operations.

Work Experience

• 5+ years working as a technology attorney
• Experience in cloud delivery, data governance, cloud operations, data privacy, regulatory compliance, and/or information security is a plus.

EDUCATION

• J.D. or equivalent law degree from an accredited university, further technical degrees, or certifications (e.g., from IAPP) is a plus.

LANGUAGES

Excellent Written And Spoken English Skills Are Required
