Position
We are currently looking to recruit a qualified candidate to join our Indonesia Office as a Junior Legal Advisor.

Reports to:
Managing Director, Partners and Project Managers
Key external relationships:
Clients, Business Associations, and Government Ministries
Key internal relationships:
Partners, Directors, Senior Advisers, Regional Advisers, Managers and all staff of Indonesia office.

Main duties of the role:
The following are the key duties and responsibilities that will be expected of you within the Firm:

• Assist with DFDL’s business promotion efforts, including by assisting with seminars and researching and writing articles; and
• Provide general legal assistance to other advisers in the office and other tasks reasonably associated with the foregoing.
• Provide legal advice regarding corporate and commercial issues, including in respect of merger and acquisitions, banking, energy and infrastructure, real estate or foreign direct investments into Indonesia. This may include due diligence, research, drafting and negotiating agreements and liaising directly with clients;
• Assist with company formations, OSS applications and other related matters;
• Assist team in implementing transactions, including preparation of transactional documents and filings to relevant authorities;
• Undertake all activities typical of a legal adviser, including drafting contracts, letters of advice, legal opinions, and other legal instruments;

Requirements
Essential skills & experience:

• Proficient in both spoken and written English
• 1-3 years’ experience with international law firm or multinational company
• Able to work under pressure and time constraint
• Has the ability to draft high quality contracts, letters of advice and legal opinions in both English and Bahasa;
• Bachelor degree of laws (LL.B.) from reputable Indonesian university and preferably a Master of laws (LL.M.)
• Strong practical knowledge of the Indonesian legal system
• Position will be based in Jakarta and may require occasional travel up-country
• Be enthusiastic person and effective team member
