About This Role

• Develop IT policies and practices
• Resolve issues escalated by technicians and engineers
• Oversee data backup and system security operations (e.g. user authorization, firewalls)
• Provide support and guidance to stakeholders via help desk
• Control costs and budgets regarding IT systems
• Be responsible for device and password management
• Maintain and optimize local company networks and servers
• Manage installations, upgrades and configurations of hardware and software
• Manage contracts with vendors (e.g. development platforms, telecommunication companies, password managers) and software licenses
• Assess system performance and recommend improvements
• Ensure data is handled, transferred or processed according to legal and company guidelines

What is required and what we’re looking for

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with network security concepts and technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs
• Understanding of networking protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and MPLS
• 3-4 years of experience in network engineering or a related field experience with network design, implementation, and maintenance
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Having experience to build and migrate from environment on premise into cloud environments (GCP and AliCloudF)
• Good communication in English
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark, Nagios, and SolarWinds
• Familiarity with network hardware, such as switches, routers, and firewalls from vendors like Ubiquiti, Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto Networks
