Role Summary:
Senior Operations Manager directs and manages the day-to-day activities of an organization's operations, typically through subordinate operations managers. Implements company policies, procedures and initiatives.

• Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services through improvements to each function (HR, IT, Finance) as well as coordination and communication between functions.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of organization's performance against budget, financial and operational goals.
• Prepare customers’, certification and internal audits
• Direct annual operations budgeting and planning process for the organization's annual budget with Financial Controller and Head of Business.
• Play a significant role in long-term planning, including initiatives geared toward operational excellence.
• Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (Warehousing, IT and utilities), through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.
• Ensure compliance with all local regulatory requirements.
• Drive initiatives in the management team and organizationally that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
• Develop and manage annual budget.
• Manage functions which would include production, warehouse, production planning, continuous improvements, procurement and Health, Safety and Environment.
• Management of operations budget including but not limited to plant throughputs, quality and cost together with the Financial Controller and the Head of Business.
• Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy as a member of the management team.
• Supervise and coach reporting managers on a monthly basis. Development of talent pipeline.
• Do continuous operational efficiency improvements involving processes and procedures in support of organizations objectives -- specifically, best in class HSE, total quality management, operational excellence, procurement and lean manufacturing.

Requirements:
Qualifications and Attributes:

• Budget development and oversight experience.
• High comfort level working in a diverse environment.
• Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.
• Good Degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness, operations management and process re-engineering and , implementing best practices.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in similar position and min 20 years of working experience preferably in edible oil refining, specialty oils and fats.
