Freelance Product Designer Jobs

We are seeking a talented freelance product designer to join Recycling Village team on a project basis. As a freelance product designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and refining the visual and functional aspects of our products. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, understanding user needs, and translating them into compelling design solutions that align with our brand and business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Research and analyze fashion trends, market preferences, brand's aesthetic, target audience, and design objectives.
• Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications for fashion products, including apparel, accessories, and related items.
• Work within established timelines to ensure timely delivery of design concepts and finalized products.
• Collaborate with pattern makers, sample makers, and manufacturers to ensure accurate translation of designs into physical products.
• Stay updated with industry developments, emerging materials, and design techniques to bring innovative ideas to the design process.
• Create sketches, mood boards, and design concepts that capture the essence of the brand and current fashion trends.
• Select appropriate materials, trims, and embellishments for each design while considering factors such as cost, quality, and sustainability.
• Use design software and tools to create digital renderings and prototypes of fashion products.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and within a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Able to Work From Office twice a week (Lenteng Agung, Jakarta)
• Creativity and a keen eye for detail, along with the ability to translate ideas into visually compelling designs.
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a fashion product designer with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of designs and projects.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and technical aspects of fashion design.
• In-depth knowledge of fashion trends, materials, textiles, and production processes.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manufacturers, and suppliers.
