People in the Finance teams are responsible for the financial planning and analysis of a company, allowing the organization to make well-informed commercial decisions.

Financial analysts partner with management to provide both strategic and tactical financial planning, budgeting, forecasting modelling, monitoring and analysis to help the Company meet its strategic objectives.

What you will do:

You will work closely with CEO to help us produce regular reports using financial data, and work collaboratively across the entire finance team to analyze business performance and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Working with our CEO, your volunteer role includes:

• Support and improve the implementation of financial planning and data systems.
• Prepare, evaluate, and report key financial and operating metrics. Identify trends, track progress, and make recommendations on areas for improvement.
• Guide and participate in process and reporting improvement projects and initiatives to improve reporting and forecast accuracy.
• Run market research, including the search for potential investment pools,
• Support the preparation of monthly/quarterly management reports, Board presentations, and other financial reporting.
• Analysis of and direct on improvement initiatives for working capital.
• Conduct market and competition analysis to support investment decisions and prepare preliminary financial analyses
• Perform budget versus actual analysis, take ownership in cross functional projects to steer effectively budget and business decisions.

Education and experience

–High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)

–Experience in accounting and finance (preferred)

–Knowledge in consumer electronics and the retail environment (preferred)

Skills and requirements

Fluent inEnglish

Genuine interest in early-stage startups and technology

Effective communication and relationship-building skills

Undergraduate degree or similar education in accounting and finance.

Creative and tech savvy.

Flexibility to be able to switch between projects or pivot quickly should the requirements of the project change.

Good with PowerBI, Tableau, Powerpoint tools.

Interest in technology and the ability to quickly learn new products and features

Initiative-taker with a strong commitment to driving results

Enthusiastic, initiative-taking, and outgoing personality that is comfortable in a competitive environment

Professional demeanor, excellent verbal, and written communication skills

Access to a smartphone (iPhone or Android).
