Chief Financial Officer (Portfolio Company)

One of our early stage AgriTech portfolio companies is in the search for a CFO.

Responsibilities

Leadership and team management

• Doing effectively collaborate with other departments, executives, and external stakeholders.
• Leading and managing a finance team, promoting collaboration, and fostering a culture of excellence.

Financial Management Experience

• Develop short-term and long-term financial strategies to support your business objectives.
• Create realistic budgets, forecasts, and financial models to guide decision-making processes.
• Managing financial operations, including financial reporting, cash flow management, and risk assessment.
• Analyze and evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations

Strategic thinking

• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making at the executive level.
• Understanding of the B2B commerce industry, including market dynamics, competition, and key drivers of success.

Risk Management and Compliance

• Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management strategies.
• Provide guidance on internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other financial obligations.

Technology and Systems

• Implementing financial software systems, ERP systems for reporting. Such as OracleNetsuite, SAP, Odoo

Other expertise and knowledge

• Advising and developing company strategy for mergers and acquisitions
• Conducting the partnership with Joint Operations and Joint Ventures model

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge in conducting joint operations, joint ventures, acquisitions
• >10 yrs experience in financial management
• Experience in working in startups and/or in an inventory distribution company, with robust cash flow and working capital management
