Assistant Marketing Manager (immediate start)

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the communication strategy; driving marketing over social media platforms.
• Planning, organising and coordinating marketing communications and implementing events.
• Ensuring that the organisation is represented in the best possible light at all times.
• Support the project assistant and interns in the coordination of all GDC events
• Ensuring that messages are clear, controlled and in suitable time.
• Creating various marketing materials potentially including video and content writing.
• Search engine optimization to maximize Google rankings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Public Relations, Marketing, Art, or Video Production.

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

• Very strong experience in use of social media (Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and possess computer skills with proficiencies in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
• Very strong copywriting and content writing skills.
• Fundraising experience and skills (bonus)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and use initiative to perform administrative tasks within broad GDC guidelines and standards.
• Good organization and planning skills
• Agree to confidentiality statement and pass a background checks in accordance with GDC’s Employee Handbook.
• Knowledge of SEO and ability to conduct basic analyses in order to generate periodic reports and make recommendations for further actions.
• Very strong experience in using graphic design software and platforms to create infographics, presentations, flyers, banners, stationaries, magazines, reports and other visual content.
• A quick learner, adaptable and able to work well under pressure.
• Very strong in communication and public relations skills.
• Trustworthy, innovative, passionate, resilient.
• Ability to build relationships with a variety of individuals across functions and outside GDC in order to effectively contribute to the functioning of the team.
