Description

The Assistant Director of Incident Management assumes responsibility for the documentation, tracking and oversight of required internal and reportable events by regulation. The Assistant Director of Incident Management/Investigator conducts investigations of abuse/neglect, serious incidents and reportable incidents They will also be responsible for entering information and providing Quality Control for IRMA, WSIR and Sharepoint, providing oversight to related documentation and follow up.

• Conduct investigations of serious incidents and reports of abuse and neglect, as assigned by the Director of Quality Assurance
• Participate in Quality Assurance outreach efforts including but not limited to: program visits, staff training and inter department meetings.
• Assist with the Agency process of the Serious Incident Review Committee and tasks needed for follow up.
• Assist with oversight of department specialists in incident management tasks including: documentation in IRMA, WSIR, Sharepoint and completing investigation related tasks and paperwork
• Maintain working knowledge of OPWDD, NYS Justice Center, Federal and State regulations
• Assume primary responsibility for reviewing, documenting and tracking internal and regulatory events. Provide support to agency programs regarding this process and interface with OPWDD as necessary.
• Provide staff training regarding abuse and incident reporting in collaboration with the training department
• Participate is rotation of QA on-call beeper phone and associated duties
• Complete all other tasks as assigned by the Director of Quality Assurance
• Participate in routine information sharing, problem solving and crisis intervention as needed; promoting good communication between all interdisciplinary team members

Requirements

Requires Associate Degree and at least 4 years of experience working with individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities. Performance must reflect excellence in organizational skills, confidentiality, time management, flexibility, computer skill and communication.

Valid NYS Driver's license is required.
