Key Accountabilities

This is a newly created role to support our Indonesia Belawan New Container Terminal (BNCT), you will be reporting to President Director.

As a Finance Director, you are responsible to implement and oversee the end-to-end finance/accounting operations and driving financial performance through robust reporting and analysis, as well as identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.

The role requires you to build and develop policies, procedures and controls for Finance, Accounting and Legal functions. Act as company secretary, you are required to provide effective secretariat support and corporate governance advice. You will always ensure compliance with and adherence to all legislative requirements and business practices.

• Provide financial analysis and decision support to the executive team, and lead and participate in meetings as required.
• Manage all legal, tax compliance, including GST, VAT and corporate tax regulation in Indonesia.
• Manage and Involve in the annual internal/external audit process with external auditors and Region/Dubai Head Office.
• Lead and manage the month end process including preparation and/or review of journal entries, working papers and spreadsheets to support reconciliations in accordance with guidelines.
• Develop business models, as necessary, to assist with strategic initiatives.
• Positively drive agreed initiatives, propose new initiatives, and adopt a sense of continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement standards, procedures, internal controls, and processes in accordance with relevant accounting standards, legal regulatory and company policies and procedures.
• Preparation of budgets and forecasting and statutory and internal audits; and tax reporting and compliance.
• Work with the regional/global finance team to prepare accurate, timely and reliable monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports required by management and other stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of statutory and other reporting requirements from the Region and Head Offices.
• Provide leadership and create a rewarding team-based culture, including mentorship and development of staff.
• Manage a small team and develop staff to ensure competency and appropriate succession within the Finance/accounting team.
• Support the setup of new business operations.
• Assist with the implementation of Oracle Financials in the Region/Head Offices.

• Deliver HSSE KPIs cascaded to the responsible field / department.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Exceptional communication and organizational skills, including the ability to work with all departments and levels.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Excel.
• Familiarity with Oracle Fusion would be an asset.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. Legal certification/qualification will be an added advantage.
• Driven, analytical, hands-on, and detailed-oriented.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant with 10 to 15 years’ experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience in Accounts Finalizations, MIS Reporting, Tax Compliance and Accounts supervision.
• Proven leadership skills to develop and motivate a team.
• Sound judgement and analytical thinking that enables decision making, ability to manage projects and prioritize and manage timelines.
• Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships with internal and external team members/stakeholders.
• Proven experience and knowledge of financial accounting standards and local regulatory requirements.
