Responsibilities :
1. Budgeting and cost control: Develop and manage budgets for procurement activities. Monitoring and controlling expenses related to purchasing, ensuring compliance with financial policies and objectives.
2. Vendor management: Assessing and selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, and establishing terms and conditions for procurement. Evaluating vendor performance, managing relationships, and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise.
The responsibilities of a chief accountant typically include:
1. Financial management: Overseeing and managing the financial activities of the organization. This includes developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
2. Financial reporting: Preparing and analyzing financial statements, reports, and records to provide accurate and reliable information to stakeholders. This includes producing balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.
3. Budgeting and forecasting: Collaborating with management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitoring actual financial performance against budgeted targets and providing variance analysis and explanations.
4. Tax compliance: Ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. Preparing and filing tax returns, maintaining tax records, and coordinating with external tax advisors or auditors when necessary.
5. Internal controls: Establishing and maintaining effective internal controls to safeguard company assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This includes implementing and monitoring financial and operational controls and conducting regular audits or reviews.
6. Cash flow management: Monitoring and managing cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs. Forecasting cash requirements, optimizing working capital, and implementing cash management strategies.
7. Financial analysis: Conducting financial analysis and providing insights to support decision-making. This includes analyzing financial data, identifying trends, evaluating financial performance, and making recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
