We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as an Intern Startup Scout in Indonesia.
At Founders Lair, we specialize in connecting established companies with startups, offering funding, partner and client networks, and policy support to help startups grow.
We are the largest digital startup ecosystem in the world providing an open innovation SaaS platform and streamlining scouting for our corporates, accelerators, VCs, and startup competition clients.
As an Intern Startup Scout, you will work closely with our clients to identify and evaluate innovative startups from various industries and stages that align with their program requirements and needs.
You will be given training and guidance to learn how to conduct research and analysis, as well as how to build and maintain strong relationships with startup founders and key stakeholders. Occasionally, you may be required to provide insights into market trends and emerging technologies in your home market.
If you develop well, we will develop you into our startup ecosystem leader for the Indonesian market. We helped over 4000 startups from around the world and worked with over 200 large corporates, accelerators, and governments.

🔶 Proactively get involved in cold-calling, LinkedIn outreach, or other means of business development efforts, to ensure seamless program delivery, meeting individual and team goals.
🔶 Work closely with the Scouting Lead, and conduct research and analysis to identify suitable startups based on program requirements.
🔶 Build and maintain strong relationships with startup founders and key stakeholders to stay informed of the latest trends and developments.
🔶 Provide valuable insights on market trends and emerging technologies to improve the team´s scouting capability.
🔶 Assist the Client Success Manager throughout the program's life cycle, ensuring a positive experience for both clients and startups on our platform.
🔶 Maintain an up-to-date database of startups and update it regularly to inform decision-making.
🔶 Support in establishing processes and routines that ensure sustainable program execution, including tracking and reporting on key metrics.
🔶 Collaborate with the product team to offer feedback and recommendations to enhance the quality of various products in the Founders Lair family.
✅ Strong interest in startup ecosystems and innovation.
✅ Efficient capabilities in cold-emailing or cold-calling. Sometimes it also helps to just go to co-working spaces and talk to founders.
✅ Former internship experience in an accelerator, VC, or startup is highly recommended.
✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with founders and stakeholders.
✅ Excellent research and analytical skills to evaluate startups of various stages and industries.
✅ Knowledge of emerging technologies and market trends to provide valuable insights.
✅ Entrepreneurial spirit with a consistent, result-oriented, and flexible attitude.
✅ Fluency in English is required, other languages are a plus.

⭐️ Performance-based salary. This role does not have a base salary but is performance-based. The salary you can reach per month ranges from 200-2,000 USD depending on your performance.
The internship is for a duration of 6 months and will be conducted remotely.
The process:
Suitable candidates will be contacted after the application screening process. We will arrange a first interview with the team lead. You will receive the first task to complete within a specified time frame. After successful completion, you will be invited to an interview with one of our founders.
