We want to build a team of people with purpose. That’s why Wavin is currently looking for a Shift Leader to join our team at our Manufacturing Plant @ Batang, Central Java in Indonesia. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.

Responsibilities:

• Guide field engineers, operators/ technicians to monitor & control operating parameters.
• Take emergency actions to safe guard equipments and people.
• Responsible for ensuring all employees on shift are complying with HSE guidelines
• Identify problems in operation and take corrective action and suggest preventive action. Develop and evaluate ideas for cost reduction.
• Continuous monitoring of all the critical parameters, analyze the deviation and take corrective action.
• Impart continuous on the job training to employees in shift to develop flexibility in operation & achieve efficiencies.
• Act as an Incident controller in case of emergency; especially in silent hours.
• Responsible for safe operation of the equipment and for stopping activites in the event of an unsafe condition.
• Responsible for 5S in all work areas
• Responsible for reporting unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, incidents and accidents
• Co-ordinate with Compounding & Die-care dept & Maintenance services for regular plan / size change / related problems if any.
• Coordinate activities with all support functions for proper and timely maintenance of plant equipments/ extruders and preventive maintenance.

Requirements:

• Thorough knowledge of Extrusion Processes & associated facilities.
• Knowledge of SHE functions.
• Operating experience in relevant Polymer molding/ extrusion technology for 5 to 7 years.
• Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Chemical or Industrial Engineering
