Senior Construction Engineer Jobs

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Engineer to join our project management consultancy (PMC) team for an onshore LNG plant project in Jakarta. The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the construction activities during the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) phase and potentially continue through the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) phase if the Final Investment Decision (FID) is made.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical expertise and leadership in construction engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.

2. Review and analyze project requirements, design specifications, and technical documents to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client expectations.

3. Collaborate with the project team, including contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, to develop and implement effective construction strategies and plans.

4. Monitor and supervise construction activities to ensure adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.

5. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess progress, identify potential issues, and provide timely solutions.

6. Manage and resolve any construction-related conflicts or disputes in a proactive and efficient manner.

7. Review and approve technical submissions, including method statements, construction procedures, and material specifications.

8. Provide guidance and support to junior construction engineers and other project team members as required.

9. Monitor construction budgets, resource allocation, and overall project costs to ensure optimal utilization and cost efficiency.

10. Prepare regular progress reports, technical documentation, and presentations for project management and clients.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in EPC projects, with a focus on onshore LNG plant construction.

3. Experience in shipbuilding projects such as FLNG, FSRU, or FPSO is highly desirable.

4. Strong knowledge of construction engineering principles, techniques, and best practices.

5. Familiarity with relevant international codes, standards, and regulations for LNG plant construction.

6. Proven ability to manage construction activities, contractors, and subcontractors effectively.

7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with a diverse project team and stakeholders.

8. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

9. Proficiency in project management software and tools.

10. Willingness to relocate to Jakarta for the duration of the project.

11. Availability for a 6-month duration during the FEED phase, with the possibility of extending for 3 years if the FID is made to proceed with the EPC phase.
