Job Description

Job Title: Retreats and Guest Experience Leader

Job Type: Contract

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Ubud, Bali

Reports To: General Manager


We are seeking a full-time dynamic Retreats and Guest Experience Leader who is ready to take a successful boutique resort to the next level. The leader provides the leadership and direction for all retreat programs, including curated activities. The leader is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and ensuring the successful execution of year-round programs.


We are looking for a leader who will create a positive culture for success by providing leadership, clear direction, teaching, motivating, and evaluating the retreat sales and marketing efforts.


Responsibilities

  • Oversees the retreats and programs offered by serving as the main contact person for retreat leaders or the individual retreat guest from initial contact before the retreat to follow-up after the retreat.


  • Plans, organizes, and executes all retreats and programs at the resort. Coordinates with the facilities, kitchen, and other support staff, including vendors and contractors, to ensure a high standard of service that also reflects the brand's mission.


  • Implements the retreats pricing structure, adjusting as needed based on affordability principles and market trends.


  • Conducts market research on a regular basis to ensure some level of competitiveness with other retreat destinations.


  • Develops and manages an annual budget, understanding revenue, expenses, and profitability of all programs and retreats.


  • Creates and executes new systems and business strategies that are in alignment with the brand's mission and values, and enhance the quality of programs offered.


  • Actively explores, cultivates, and grows relationships with retreat groups and teachers internationally in order to create partnerships and expand offerings in yoga, spa, and wellness.


  • Compiles the retreat program schedule, including retreat content and descriptions, contact with retreat leaders and/or presenters, date scheduling, participant capacity, room allocation, and so on.


  • In collaboration with the marketing and digital teams, assists with the publicity efforts for curated retreats, programs, and other offerings.


  • Provide gracious hospitality to retreat leaders and participants, introduce resort hosts, provide airport transportation as needed, and lead the welcome and orientation.


  • Gathering, analyzing, and distributing participant feedback to the relevant parties.


  • Set the tone for the retreat and guest services team by providing outstanding leadership in accordance with mutually agreed-upon sales goals and priorities.


  • Manage inventory, rates, and offerings in collaboration with the reservations and distribution leader to maximize resort revenue and meet or exceed revenue targets.


  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Experience Requirements:

3+ years of experience as an effective retreat leader, or significant experience in an experiential yoga, spa, and/or wellness retreat setting.
