Quarry Operation Manager (Mining - Central Java)

One of our clients is looking for a Quarry Operation Manager and will be placed in Central Java, with the details below:

Job Responsibilities

• Establish policies and procedures for quarrying/mining operations Optimize quarrying costs
• Ensure the company meets Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards, as well as OHSS, and with no emissions (act in consultation with the Sustainability Manager)
• Manage and develop quarry operation strategy; undertake mine planning by use of Surpac modeling; generate production schedules and waste disposal incorporating short and long-term targets in the best balance to achieve the company’s objective
• Manage all quarry operations safely
• Responsible for the raw material supply and quality from quarry and other sources
• Management of direct reports, including leadership, succession planning, hiring, training, coaching, communication, organizational development (structure and process), personal development, etc. in cooperation with the Head of Operation Indonesia and the HR manager.
• Identify training needs and suggest training programs for mining and geology staff

Job Requirements

• Have a sense of entrepreneurship
• Surpac mine modeling experience is a serious advantage, at least having the talent and a strong desire to learn and manage Surpac
• Highly motivated and results-orientated person and perseverant computer literate
• Experience in greenfield development and environmental issues. Strong people management skills
• Good knowledge and implementation of AutoCAD, and most importantly Surpac
• Minimum bachelor's degree in mining/geology
• Fluent in English both written and oral
• Excellent ability for planning, development, and implementation of production strategies
• Minimum 5 years of same position experience
• Experience with Soil Removal and Stability measures Other requirements
• Excellent ability in analytical thinking and problem-solving
