A world-leading real estate and property company is seeking a Project Director (Property) to lead the team in Jakarta. In this Project Director (Property) job, you will be responsible for leading and advising the project teams on the successful planning, implementation and completion of projects in Indonesia within the defined schedule, cost and quality standards.

About The Project Director (Property) Role

In this business critical role you will be responsible for defining the strategy and delivering the highest quality service. You will also take the lead providing direction to all project-related activities, including planning and feasibility study analysis of potential new projects not only in Indonesia but also around South Asia.

Key Responsibilities

• Familiarise with and advise the project teams on the local authorities’ approval requirements and procedures, and to liaise with project teams to obtain all necessary permits and technical approvals as planned
• Prepare development budget and programme for planning, approval and monitoring purposes
• Advise the project teams on the successful planning, implementation and completion of projects in South Asia within the defined schedule, cost and quality standards
• Advise the project teams in all stages of projects, from conceptualisation, schematic design, detail design, documentation to construction, construction and handover upon completion
• Work closely with business development and marketing teams to ensure that all the sales and marketing requirements are met
• Carry out the planning and feasibility study analysis of potential new projects in South Asia
• Inspect site progress, safety and quality of works as client’s representative to ensure that the required project quality control and construction practices are met and the completed developments could be handed over to purchasers and end users effectively and efficiently
• Critically scrutinise specifications, drawings and contract documents to ensure that the project goals could be met
• Work closely with consultants, contractors and joint venture partners towards the project goals

To succeed in this role you must have the ability to lead effectively and possess a keen understanding of civil works and project management.

Key Requirements

• Previous employment with a real estate developer is an advantage
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, preferably with exposure to residential developments, township or landed
• Good team leader and people management with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or Building Studies
• Fluent in English
• A team player with strong individual drive, sense of responsibility and task ownership
• Overseas work experience and exposure to the real estate or construction market of Indonesia is an advantage
