Job Purpose

· To assist the Project Management Team and in particular the Head of Fabrication and the Head of Execution in the material control, preservation, tracking and documentation, from supplier handover up to storage, OS&D follow-up with Contractor, dispatch of material and preservation of materials and equipment in Contractor’s premises by Contractor.

· To organize and coordinate the material and equipment follow-up and their preservation.

Reporting and Relationships

· Reports to: NFXP Head of Fabrication,schedule specialist (Material control) and Construction mechanical superimtendent (Preservation)

Key Job Accountabilities

1. Assist the project management team and in particular the Head of Fabrication, in the material (including spare parts) control, preservation, tracking and documentation, from supplier handover up to storage in Contractor’s premises and utilisation by Contractor.

1. Establish with Contractor a system to track and report the daily use and location of used or stored material according to nesting plans. Monitor the trend of contingencies and verifies that no shortages are foreseen.
2. Issue a weekly material status report to the Project Management Team.

4. Participate in pre-shipment activities from supplier and Contractor’s receiving activities, including damages, shortages or quarantine material. Follow Overage, Shortage and Damage of materials with Contractor to ensure timely resolution.

1. Maintain a register of material issues and participate to their prompt resolution.
2. Expedite required documentation to handover to Contractor or receive from contractor when related to material.

7. Contribute to close-out report, including disposition of left-over material.

8. Attend to meeting as requested by Management.

9. Review Vendor & suplliers preservation procedures. Check Contractor performance on the implemanation of required preservations, log and inputs within ICAPS.

Part B: Person Specification – Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

· Minimum High school level or HND degree..

· Training and experience in material management and storage.

Knowledge and/or Experience

· 10+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry for material handling, expediting and shipping.

· Worldwide experience with contractors in particular those involved in the construction of Offshore production facilities.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT.

· Good knowledge and experience on the preservation of offshore platforms equipment and raw material.

· Application and in depth knowledge of stakeholder specifications and a working knowledge of Industry standards.

Technical and Business Skills

· A good proficiency in written and spoken English.

· Ability to communicate with Contractor’s team and obtain required information as requested by his supervisor/manager.

· Experienced with shipping and material documentation

· Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications to prepare status of material.
