Materials Administrator Jobs

Job Overview:
Performs any combination of essential functions to receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities
Key Taks and Responsibilities:

• Mentors other lower level employees.
• Identifies material sizes and weights without supervision.
• Capable of dimensioning materials.
• Has knowledge of all material storage locations and receiving locations.
• Accurately transfers material identification data to physical material.
• Restocks material.
• Coordinates the shipment of outgoing material with purchaser.
• Performs housekeeping tasks to ensure that work area is clean.
• Creates an accurate and legible tally sheet.
• Has knowledge of and can identify grades, specifications and coatings.
• Prepares shipping tickets.
• Understands the process for issuing a ticket.
• Identifies material description list to physical material.
• Has knowledge of permit loads.
• Matches GRN to packing list (I.D., shortness, damage).
• Loads and unloads material by using a forklift.
• Identifies equipment and transportation capacities.
• Has knowledge of restock criteria and limitations.
• Operates a computer by performing inquiries and transactions in SCM System.
• Recognizes damaged material.
• Understands mill certificate data (forms, I.D., HT#).
• Identifies material by size to restock.
• Recognized heat number on material and mill certificates.

Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Organized and disciplined individual with well-developed communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal skills required to deal effectively with operational management throughout the organization.
• Over 5 years related experience
