About Our Client
Our client is one of the major players in Indonesian mining industry who is looking to expand their business in mineral mining business. A well-respected company with presence in several areas and boasting a strong track record historically.

• Responsible for maintaining and updating all safety records, SOP's and written programs
• Employs proactive approach to managing workplace safety and accident prevention by utilizing job hazard analysis, accident analysis, inspections and safety education and training
• Monitor adherence to local regulations and standard, implement corrective action and mitigation measures as needed
• Ensure work activities are in compliance with the site-specific HSE plan
• Consult and advise project team members on safety best practices, Inspect and verify company compliance with relevant safety regulations
• Regularly inspect facility to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventives measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented
• Act as regulatory arm for a company's compliance with waste disposal and management, improve waste management system design, provide solutions for site cleanup
• Plans and implements programs to educate and train employees on workplace safety practices, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques for chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other materials

The Successful Applicant

• Knowledge of hazard identification and correction, environmental regulations, human behaviors and physical attributes related to job capabilities
• Minimum 10 years in managing safety, health, and environmental programs within the construction industry, preferably including experience in large-scale industrial or smelter projects
• Willing to be placed in Kalimantan
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications in SHE management are highly desirable
• Strong interpersonal skills. Able to work with others and be assertive as required
