As the General Manager of Strategy Planning , you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the development and execution of the company's strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives and driving sustainable growth. You will work closely with the executive leadership team, cross-functional departments, and external partners to identify strategic opportunities, conduct market research, analyze data and trends, and develop strategic plans that support the company's long-term vision. Your role will involve monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of strategic initiatives, providing insights and recommendations to senior management, and driving continuous improvement in strategic planning processes to maintain the company's competitive edge in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive market research, analyze data and trends, and identify strategic opportunities to inform the development of strategic plans.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including industry associations, vendors, customers, and other stakeholders, to gain market intelligence and insights.
- Lead and oversee the development and execution of the company's strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives and driving sustainable growth.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the strategic planning team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics, and incorporate relevant insights into strategic planning processes.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to executive leadership in decision-making processes, including evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and other strategic initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives through key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular reports to senior management on progress, challenges, and recommendations for adjustments.
- Drive continuous improvement in strategic planning processes, tools, and frameworks to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with the company's goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including sales, marketing, product development, supply chain, and finance, to gather inputs and insights for strategic planning processes.
- Communicate and cascade the company's strategic initiatives and objectives to relevant stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding throughout the organization.
Job Requirements:
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, trends, and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.
- Proven experience in developing and executing strategic initiatives, with a track record of driving sustainable growth and achieving business objectives.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in strategic planning, corporate strategy, or related roles, preferably in the consumer goods industry.
- Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of consumer goods industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
- Proficient in strategic planning tools, frameworks, and analytics.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Strategic Planning Professional (CSPP) or Certified Strategy Professional (CSP) are a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Strategy, or a related field. MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and insights to diverse audiences, including senior management and external partners.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of professionals.
