Job brief
- Assisting in the planning and development of event menus and recipes
- Ensure quality control and presentation of the food
- Ensuring proper handling and storage of all food items in accordance with the Company standards and sanitation regulations
- Maintain a planned food cost on daily expenses in terms of purchases, manpower and the food cost to be in-line with budget
- Supervising, training and developing staff and ensuring consistency in work performance
- Assisting in leading kitchen operations for property
- Takes full responsibility of portion control, usage, wastage according to recipe standards
- Assist executive chef with menu creation
- Experience working in a remote location is a plus!
- Demonstrable experience in creating menu
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience in similar position
- Strong analytical and data analysis skills
- Knowledgeable and well-versed in Asian, specifically Indonesian cuisine
- Experience in a luxury five-star property
- Have good oral communication skills
- The ability to produce excellent high-quality food
- Experience in fine dining restaurant is highly advantageous
