Events & Activations Manager Jobs

Job description:

• ION Mobility is seeking a passionate and goal-oriented individual to take on the role of Events & Activations Manager. As a rapidly growing consumer automotive brand in the electric vehicle space, live events, exhibitions, and other offline activations serve a vital role in helping ION Mobility engage with our customer segments in an authentic and up-close manner. The Events & Activations Manager is expected to ensure ION Mobility's participation in trade shows such as GIIAS, IMOS, and IIMS are impactful and consistently drive positive impressions and perceptions of the brand. In between major trade shows, he/she will proactively seek out and evaluate other events to participate in, and produce events to achieve various commercial objectives, such as generating brand awareness, creating test ride opportunities, engaging motorcycle communities, and showing customer appreciation. The Events & Activations Manager will work closely with others in the Marketing department, including the Creative Director, Copywriter, Social Media Manager, Content Strategist, and Graphics Designer. He/She will report to the Head of Marketing (Indonesia) and VP of Revenue (HQ).

Requirements:

• 2+ years experience in events planning, coordination, and supervision (preferably trade shows, retail pop-ups, experiential showcases, press conferences, and galas)
• Flexible and willingness to adapt to unforeseen circumstances that may impact the event's original programming
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
• Business-level quantitative skills and acumen to report and synthesize event outcomes versus expectations, targets, and benchmarks
• Effective and efficient problem-solver that can tactfully overcome analysis paralysis and nullify internal organizational bureaucracies
• Unbothered by the occasional long and odd hours onsite associated with supervising the move-in, delivery, and move-out periods of events (off-in-lieu days are granted in return)
• Fluent in Indonesian and intermediate-level English (reading and writing)
• Strong negotiation skills and knowledgeable in event production economics (carpentry, print, electricals, outdoor structures, AV equipment, staging/rigging, turnkey agencies, venue sourcing, event staffing, etc.)
• Unafraid to over-communicate to stakeholders involved in the event's success
• Experienced in creating requirements briefs, and driving the tender process from start to finish in a structured, objective, and timely manner
• Ability to anticipate and address event delivery risks before they materialize
• Proficient in Microsoft or Google office suite software (Excel/Sheets, Word/Docs, and PowerPoint/Slides), and proficient in tabulating, documenting, and presenting event concepts, goals, objectives, and outcomes
