About the Opportunity

As an Editorial Associates, you will support internal communications by creating unique and engaging content for various channels including mobile, daily news, company-wide e-newsletter, intranet, and others as needed.

What you will do:

• You will work closely with the editorial team, attending weekly editorial meetings and writing weekly articles or news pieces.
• You will gain valuable experience in CMS; implementing style guidelines; SEO; social media; and how media partnerships function.
• This is an opportunity to participate in the editorial life of the start up in digital technology, and to receive editorial training of the highest level.

Key Responsibilities

Working with our CEO and the Marketing Team Lead, your volunteer role includes:

• Closely track key developments across the company and industry to share the scoop with company executives, and regularly pitch ideas for new stories.
• Editing on the level of line and structure.
• Institutional relationships
• Content management – Reading and responding to articles on Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Metaverse and 3D printing as they come in, with thoughts about structure, argument, and ideas.
• Experience with WordPress -Experience with social media tools Buffer and Canva -Creating engaging social media content
• Compile and send Daily News, produced each weekday (including holidays).
• Maintain an editorial calendar to ensure a steady stream of compelling, original content for our channels.
• Manage day-to-day content updates. Ensure key tools and resources are functional and content is accurate, and moderate comments across channels.

Education and experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Knowledge in consumer electronics and the retail environment (preferred)
• Experience in Journalism, Communication or Marketing (preferred)

Skills and requirements

Fluent in English (Mandatory), other languages welcome.

• Access to a smartphone (iPhone or Android).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-starter with a strong commitment to driving results
• Enthusiastic, initiative-taking, and outgoing personality that is comfortable in a competitive environment
• Excellent record keeping.
• Professional demeanor, excellent verbal, and written communication skills
• Attention for details.
• Interest in technology and the ability to quickly learn new products and features
• Undergraduate degree or similar education in Journalism, Communication or Marketing.

Acquired Skills

Learning tools and instruments that the tech and social media world require from you: communication, execution, PR, and marketing.

This opportunity is suited for a fresh starter or mid-level seasoned professional with Journalism or Communication experience who focus on technology.Our company evolves on a niche market; thus, knowledge management on the Virtual Reality and 3D sectors is preferred.
