About Our Client
I'm partnered with the CFO of a manufacturer in the West Suburbs that is looking for a Controller to lead their custom manufacturing division!
My client is looking for a true change agent as they are highly acquisitive with 4 entities under the corporate umbrella and growing! With the recent growth and plans for future expansion, the CFO is seeking a Controller to lead the Accounting operations for their custom manufacturing division.
As Controller, you will oversee the Accounting team through month-end close and have ownership of the financial reporting to the CFO and President of the group! They will empower you to make strategic decisions to amend and implement Accounting processes and procedures as you see fit to put the company in the best possible financial position! The Controller will also partner with all departments on effective costing strategies to ensure profitability in production that will aid in the company achieving their ambitious growth goals!

• Oversee the Accounting team in completion of month-end and year-end closings
• Develops systems and procedures for accumulation systems and/or cost accounting functions.
• Reviews and analyzes actual costs to identify variances
• Design and implement scorecards and methods of tracking key drivers of financial performance
• Predicts, plans, and records variable costs such as purchases of raw material, labor, and operation costs.
• Regularly present financial reports and analysis, including proforma financial results, capital budgeting updates, production cost and contribution level analysis to the CFO and President
• Reviews, analyzes, and reports actual profit margins.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• 15+ years of experience in Accounting
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Cost Accounting experience is a MUST!
• Custom manufacturing experience preferred
