The role:

Marketing & Design Assistant

Summary of the role:

Sucafina is seeking a Marketing & Design Assistant to be based in our offices beginning as soon as possible. In this role, you will be helping our Green Coffee, Corporate and Soluble Coffee Marketing teams with a wide range of stakeholder-facing initiatives.

You will support the team with a range of graphic design and marketing activities including developing artwork and designs for online/offline campaigns, merchandise ideation and execution, and a wide range of visual assets. You will also be asked to assist with video & photo editing for social media, advertising and internal communications campaigns. In this role you will be given the freedom to learn and be creative within our collaborative business.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing video content for internal & external use and to adapt raw footage for a range of purposes;
• Work with and assist Marketing teams in a range of additional tasks, as needed.
• Design online/offline assets for Marketing, including advertisements, illustrations, information sheets and infographics, social media posts, and general marketing/brand collateral;
• Proactively develop business with FIRST (Finance, IT, Risk, Staff, Trading) to create and implement engaging online/offline visual communications strategies in line with MARCOM's strategy and Group's vision AND provide design support services to the Group
• Work with Marketing team to develop and implement visual marketing campaigns and strategies, often with tight turnaround;
• Create and update, when needed, communication assets (PowerPoint decks, information assets and other tools);
• In collaboration with team, develop and maintain procurement and design strategy for goods with marketing overlap (swag items, sample bags, gifts, trays, etc), with focus on sustainable sources and materials and high quality;

Qualifications:

• Additional: Knowledge of International Trading, coffee or a related industry (food, wine, etc.)
• Knowledge of Graphic Design, Video Editing, and Marketing & Communications.

Experience:

• Initial experience in managing marketing and communications projects preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Graphic Design and experience in marketing, media & communication or any related field.
• Experience working in coffee or related food/beverage industry a bonus.

Technical Skills:

Essential Skills:

• Excellent knowledge of and demonstrated experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc) (you will be asked for examples of your work and may be asked to complete tasks as part of the application process);
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft office and ability to record and present data in an organized fashion;
• Good self-learner and ability to learn on the job;
• Keen aesthetic eye and ability to display complex information in a visually appealing way (will be asked for examples during interview);
• Excellent communications skills, proven ability to work within a team, and ability to work without constant supervision;
• Attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize many projects at once, often with quick turnaround;
• Strong Powerpoint presentation design skills (will be asked for examples of your work);
• Written English should be fluent or near native.
• Demonstrated ability to take design spec/mockups and, with direction, finish to a high standard;

Desirable Skills:

• Good coffee knowledge, ideally some understanding of coffee supply chain.
• Experience with sustainable packaging and/or promotional goods procurement;
• Experience using additional marketing and campaign tools, including CMS, Email marketing tools, Scheduling tools etc.;
• Demonstrated experience using video editing software and ability to produce finished products (sound, visuals, motion graphics, etc).
• Product Photography or related.
