A brand new international hospitality school is looking for a Center Director to be placed in Surabaya.
REPORTING LINES
• Direct report—Board of Directors/Owners, if applicable
• Direct subordinates—Heads of Department (HOD)
RESPONSIBILITIES — SPECIFIC
Pre-Opening
• Ensure the implementation of all aspects
• Liaise with all relevant stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of all pre-opening activities
• Recruit key positions to ensure timely operationalization of the Training Center
• Represent the project publicly and commence Marketing Activities
Academic Quality
• Monitor work performance of HODs and Trainers
• Implementation of the Learning materials and methodologies for Training members
• Course delivery
• Admissions, performance and student life
Academic Administration
• Classroom and student planning and administration
• Record of course assessment (grades)
• Semestrial induction, opening and closure
• Certificate issuance and graduation ceremony
Human Resources
• Develop the objectives and strategies to address the human capital needs
• Prepare the annual overall budget for human resources
• Develop and implement proper procedures for:
1. Recruitment
2. Induction
3. Compensation
4. Evaluation
5. Training & Career development
• Advise on the development of work culture and assist in maintaining this culture
• Create and maintain within the operations department a work culture of professionalism, client orientation, entrepreneurship and empowerment
• Implement and maintain an HR information system, if necessary.
Campus Operations
• Security and ergonomics of the academic block, student accommodation and CoCurricular Activities (CCA) facilities
Sales and Marketing
• Increasing visibility and reputation of the school to students, parents and the industry
Finance
• System, operation, revenues and costs
• Accountability and transparency
3. PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Professional Experience
• 10-15 years of experience, including hospitality management and/or teaching within a recognised institution
• Experience in academic management and program development
• Project Management Experience, Pre-opening Experience in a hospitality environment is a
big asset
• Leadership & Management experience
Academic Qualifications
• Minimum—Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree in the relevant area preferred.
Language
• Competent in written and spoken English
