Finance Director Usaid Erat Jobs

Participate in internal EDF training and mentoring activities to increase knowledge and skills of fishery science and management.

Minimum Bachelor’ Degree in fisheries or coastal and marine resource management plus 6 years of relevant experience.

Demonstrated experience in fisheries management, including fishers’ community development.

Demonstrated experience in project management tools and project budgeting.

Ability to learn and apply EDF's outreach, scientific, technical and policy tools to analyze, understand challenges, and develop fishery management solutions.

Demonstrated ability to communicate, manage and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders in professional and field settings.

Provide advisory and consultative support to the company in all finance-related areas including accounting policies and other compliance requirements.

Ensures the timely production of financial reports in line with reporting requirements set by regulators and other stakeholders

Driving the company’s financial planning by analyzing its performance and risks. Ensures all divisions comply with the approved budget.

Analyzing and reporting on financial performance, monitoring performance variance, and initiating corrective action.

Retaining constant awareness of the company’s financial position and acting to prevent problems

Develops systems to ensure financial effectiveness and cost control

Oversee all HR functions, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and training & development

Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent

Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and HR, with at least 5 years in a leadership role

Solid understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred

Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and processes

You possess a Bachelor's/Master degree in Accounting or Finance/Business Administration

You have a minimum of 3+ years' work experience in accounting preferred

You have strong understanding of finance and accounting principles

You have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Overseeing the preparation of company financial statements

Review and provide accurate financial reports and including monthly management accounting report

Provide recommendations to management and act as business partner to enhance efficiency and productivity

Finance or accounting degree (professional qualifications is useful – ACCA, CFA, CPA, CA)

Good leadership and team management, independent and proactive

Supervise daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly operations within the finance and accounting department

Manage accounts receivables, payments and cash operations
