In recent years there has been an increased interest in the Thales civil solutions especially in the field of transportation and air traffic control. With the growing attention to infrastructure development by the Indonesian government, Thales will have opportunities in the transportation and security domain.
The Site Support Engineer will be the main point of contact locally in Jakarta, Indonesia for the defense project, and to provide engineering site support for the project until project completion.
Responsibilities:

• Act as the main point of contact for the project, communicating between the customer and project team both locally and overseas (mainly in Europe)
• Build and maintain good relationship with the customer and end user
• Site survey, site readiness review and site activities (C2 and radar installation, training)
• Assist the Project Manager during project management review held in customer facilities
• Conduct site management to secure dates for site acceptance and ensure on-time delivery of goods to the site
• Provide technical support
• Support Thales Business Lines (BL) and customer for the shipment of goods
• Provide anomalies report and escalate issues to Project Manager where necessary
• Assist the Project Manager in managing day-to-day operations and project progress (including tracking progress of civil works), understanding customers’ and end user’s requirements, and to highlight any concerns of the customer and end user
• Manage local warranty activities and ensure customer satisfaction during warranty

Requirement:

• Bahasa is mandatory and fluency in English (verbal and written) is necessary
• Good practice with electronic standard tools (scope, multi meter, RF, signal analyzer)
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Able to travel within Indonesia to remote areas, and overseas
• Civil works

• Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and autonomous
• Preferably has experience in an international environment (worked in MNC or studied abroad)
• Knowledge of command and control (C2) and radar systems will be an advantage
• Has experience in the following:
• Knowledge in signal processing, microwaves and RF technology
• Computer network
