Worley is in for a mining project based in Indonesia. Worley has supported the project’s feasibility study and has now been engaged to undertake civil detailed design for earthworks and roads. Worley is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer for a 6 to 12 months contract with the opportunity to extend.

As the Senior Civil Engineer on this project, you will be part of the expansion of the group, engineer familiar with civil hydraulic systems within water industry.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Define basis of design, design scopes and subsequent performance requirements
• Production of calculations, technical roles, requisitions, specifications, drawings, and similar deliverables to meet project requirements
• Provide technical advice and support to projects (ranging from feasibility studies through to large EPC Contracts)
• Undertake design tasks of water and wastewater civil infrastructure as required by project managers or design team leads
• Safety – Responsible for personal safety. Responsible for Safety in Design via SEAL guidelines. Understand and follow OH&S procedures and promote implementation within design team
• Maintaining effective relationships with:
• Review design outputs and deliverable and ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, quality and company requirements

• Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provision and guidelines of the WPMP, Quality Assurance System, SEAL and Oneway.

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess a combination of work experience, skills and or qualifications in the following areas:

• Attention to detail
• Well connected in the industry
• Prior experiences as a Senior Civil Engineer
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
• Team management skills
• Have experience in detailed design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects with specific regard to leading civil and hydraulic system designs including pipelines, pump stations and treatment plants
• Competent in relevant Microsoft Office software
• Work as part of a multi-discipline team
• Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in engineering
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline
• Broad understanding of the engineering scene in Indonesia
• Prior experience in the mining industry or infrastructure work is preferred.
• Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) platforms
• Direct others and takes responsibility for their work
• Have the experience and skills to set the standard and drive the rest of the team to excel in HSE
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
