Senior Principal Inspection Tech

Job Overview:
The Senior Principal Inspection Tech completes assignments and directs the work activities of others in the inspection discipline. They can solve unique and complex problems and act as a subject matter expert. The Senior Principal Inspection Tech can work autonomously within established procedures and practices. The Senior Principal Inspection Tech can lead others to solve complex problems and use analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions. They directly impact the achievement of customer, operational, or service objectives.  
Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper maintenance of NDT equipment and maintain equipment certification records
• Be capable of executing the examination by approved NDT procedures and internationally recognized codes/specs
• Impart practical training to the junior technician and guide them about the overall NDT work process
• Report conforming work for rectification
• Determine acceptance/rejection based on the defined criteria
• Perform duties ethically by the professional occupation guidelines
• Assess examination results accurately, sentencing welds, and reporting according to the relevant code/spec acceptance criteria
• Liaise with the assigned QC inspector to determine the completion of rectification work
• Determine conformity/non-conformity flaws and report accurately
• Review NDT-related procedures such as vendor documents, client specifications, etc.
• Examine welds/materials by Radiography (RT), Ultrasonic (UT), Magnetic Particle (MT), and Dye Penetrant (PT) based on code and contractual specifications
• Liaise with the assigned QC inspector to determine the completion of rectification work
• Perform NDT examination of welds and materials by anyone of the following materials and qualifications (i.e., RT, UT, PT, MT) by a written Project NDT plan, NDT Procedures, code, and Contractual Specification

Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education:

• ASNT, PCN, or CSWIP Level II Qualification
• Be occupationally Qualified to internationally recognized schemes to determine competency (i.e., PCN, CSWIP, ASNT, etc.) requirements
• 10+ years in radiographic Supervision/RTFI or Ultrasonic, MT&PT
• High School Diploma or 2 years Diploma
