Hses Advisor Jobs

Job Overview:
Compliance with company HSES Management System requirements; in line with set objectives and regulatory requirements. Reports to Administratively: Senior HSES Advisor(s) Functionally: Project HSES Manager. Liaise with Vessel Management Teams (VMT’s), line supervision and workers, Clients: Marine HSES and Operations personnel, Subcontractors: Companies’ HSES representatives.
Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Perform duties in accordance with Project HSES Management Plan and HSES Activity Schedule
• Support the HSES Management of Subcontractors and Vendors
• Attend HSES committee meetings and project progress meetings
• Assist in interpretation of regulatory requirements and compliance monitoring
• Participate in incident investigations and prepare reports as necessary
• Follow up on ‘Open’ vessel / location HSES Central Action Tracking Register (CATR) action items, to assist in close-out’
• Conduct vessel / location HSES briefings and orientations, as necessary
• Participate in HSES Audits and inspections
• Assist in the development of Project offshore safety and environmental management plans and procedures
• Initiate, monitor and report on the progress of audit and inspection findings
• Provide HSES support to the management of vessels and offshore operations
• Assist in the development and implementation of HSES initiatives within the Project
• Assist and participate in Emergency Response drills; including preparation of reports and inspection of equipment

Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education:

• 2 to 5 years Oil and Gas HSE experience
• ISO 9001, 14001 & OHSAS 18001 Internal auditor qualification
• Exercise the right to refuse unsafe work and obligation to stop any found Act in a professional manner to protect the Company’s reputation with Governments, local business communities, and peoples of the countries in which McDermott operates
• Fluent spoken and written English language
• Technical writing and computer skills
• Preferred national college diploma or certificate
• Internationally recognized qualification in occupational health and safety;
