Program Manager - Maritime Domain Awareness Systems

Role based in Indonesia - Relocation from the UK would be covered by the company.

Salary - £70,000 + Negotiable Package

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager for a prestigious client in the marine industry. Our client, an innovative and fast-growing company headquartered in the UK, is a global leader in maritime domain awareness technologies. They specialize in developing cutting-edge products and systems that enhance security, safety, and environmental protection in the marine domain.

The Role:

As the Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of the company's Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) system. Working closely with the end customer and the company's in-country installation partner, you will ensure the seamless installation and commissioning of the system. This is a hands-on role that requires strong project management skills and the ability to represent the company professionally on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and drive the project delivery plan, collaborating with end customers and the in-country partner (ICP) in the field.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, progress, and potential risks.
• Conduct regular visits to customer sites, reviewing activities and maintaining project alignment.
• Develop and maintain accurate project plans and manage delivery within budget.
• Provide guidance and support to the ICP, ensuring adherence to the company's delivery methods and successful installation and commissioning of the system.
• Ensure the project implementation meets contracted specifications and guarantees complete end customer satisfaction.
• Oversee construction, installation, and configuration work performed by the ICP and third parties.
• Coordinate training for customers and the ICP, ensuring timely delivery according to the project plan and contract requirements.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

• Attention to detail combined with a practical approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and ability to understand system drawings and installation design.
• Hands-on capacity to assist with day-to-day management and troubleshooting on-site.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience as a project manager for multi-site IT systems, preferably communication-based infrastructure.
• Previous experience in managing civil projects would be advantageous.
• Willingness to travel globally for extended periods, with a primary focus on in-country work.
• Engineering and/or IT networking background and/or qualification.
• Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
• International project execution experience, with a willingness to live and work in Indonesia for up to two years.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to diplomatically influence stakeholders.
• Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to diverse environments.
