Legal Policy & Procedure Jobs

To assist in identifying and managing Bank-wide Legal policy and procedures in products, activities, policies, procedures, standard terms and conditions of bankwide lending proposed/ issued by Business Banking, Consumer Banking, Sharia Banking, Risk, and supporting units (Note: (1) The Job Purpose is also include overlooking legal risk on the alignment of products, activities, policies, procedure, standard terms and conditions with the prevailing laws, bank’s policies; (2) the products, activities, procedure will then be carried over by Business Banking, Consumer Banking, Sharia Banking, Risk, and supporting units) as well as to represent other Senior Advisor as alternate for funding, transaction banking, and sharia area.

Strategy & Planning

• To be a mandatory reviewer for every bank-wide Policy and Procedure proposals (both new and revised/developed).
• To assist legal operational /business unit in identifying and managing legal risk in the early stage for a proposed product and/or services, banking program or transactions by (i) rendering legal review & analysis on products, policies, procedures and business development transaction or (ii) becoming liaison partner of business unit in developing standard legal documentation as well as (iii) ensuring conformity to the relevant regulations (internally or externally).
• To collect and define the legal best practices in banking operation mainly related to product and services;
• To encourage process improvement by adopting a harmonized legal approach and creating standard tools;

Business Performance and Management

• To be a mandatory reviewer for every proposed product and activity of the Bank (both new and revised / developed)
• To be a mandatory reviewer for Significant Changes Assessment Process (SCAP) proposals.

Regulatory Compliance To review Bank-wide Standard Agreements are in compliance with Financial Service Authority (OJK) regulations and other relevant regulations (internally or externally) as the final reviewer (before approval from LPP Senior Advisor, Legal Policy & Procedure Head and Head of Legal/General Counsel) for every issuing of bank-wide standard agreements and/or terms & conditions (both new and revised/developed).

Requirements:

• Law degree bachelor
• Min 2 years as a legal counsel specializing in banking & finance practice area; or TCB/PPE (or ODP from other Bank)
• Hybrid working arrangement
• Min 2 years in banking industry, including 1 years’ experience in legal supporting banking transaction; or
• Good negotiation and communication skill
• Proficient in English
