Job Description

Job Summary:

The IT Support & Asset Management role is responsible for managing and maintaining the company's assets, in terms of IT equipment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient functioning of the company's day-to-day operations by overseeing the inventory, tracking, and maintenance of IT assets.


Responsibilities:


1. Asset Inventory Management:

Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all IT equipment (computers, laptops, peripherals, etc.) and general office supplies (stationery, furniture, etc.). Regularly update the asset database with new additions and decommissioned items.


2. Asset Tracking and Tagging:

Implement an asset tagging system to track and identify assets easily. Conduct routine audits to verify the location and condition of assets.


3. Asset Maintenance, Repairs, and Disposal:

Coordinate with vendors or service providers for timely maintenance and repairs of IT equipment. Ensure proper documentation of repair history and associated costs. Handle the proper disposal or recycling of outdated or non-functional assets.


4. IT Support:

Provide basic IT support to employees, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and escalating complex problems to external IT support if required.


6. IT Supplies Management:

Monitor and replenish IT supplies, ensuring the availability of essential items for smooth office operations.


7. Budgeting and Cost Control:

Collaborate with the People-Ops & Finance team to track asset-related expenses and adhere to budgetary guidelines.


8. Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure that all asset-related documentation, including purchase orders, warranties, and service contracts, are properly maintained and up-to-date.


Requirements:


1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.

2. Previous experience in IT support and general administration roles is preferred.

3. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
