Asst. Tax Manager - Corporate And Wht

The assistant tax manager is a member of the MCO/cluster tax operations team reporting to its country tax manager and supports the tax director and finance team of its country. You will be responsible for corporate tax and withholding taxes of Unilever Indonesia and company established in Indonesia including its reconciliations and initiate/lead project that create value on tax and business process respective in corporate and withholding taxes in the country/MCO under the accountability of the country tax manager.
Key Responsibilities
Business decision support

• Analyses the impact of (changes in) domestic taxation rule and provide recommendation to address the changes to ensure comply with the prevailing regulations.
• Takes initiatives for projects concerning (local) tax simplification and data hygiene.
• Business partner to the key stakeholders advising on the tax impact of day-to-day operations specific with issue and ensuring all open items are mitigate and close.

Corporate and Withholding Taxes compliance

• Responsible for accurate and timely payment and lodgment of country tax returns
• Developing the compliance agenda, including deadlines and responsibilities regarding the Corporate and withholding taxes (monthly, quarterly and annual)
• Building education / awareness to non-tax functions.
• Understands implications of changes in tax laws and in business operations in order tax team to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance.
• Working closely with business partners to improve process that have impact directly or corporate and withholding taxes.
• Ensures that adequate documentation / data is created and maintained for audit purposes.
• Participation in general projects/initiatives impacting -directly or indirectly- taxes.
• Responsible for ensuring systems and processes are maintained including provide support for business in case any errors incurred on reporting system.
• Review and monitor the reconciliation ready and prepared properly.

Audit & controversy

• Work with the country tax lead and external advisors on settlement and litigation.
• Support the country tax lead on answering questions from tax authorities during audit.
• Work with the country tax lead and / or external support on rulings.
• Preparing all the documentation required by tax authorities during audit

Qualifications

• Good communication skill
• Having knowledge on Indonesia Tax regulations
• Having experiences in tax audit, tax reconciliation, monthly and annual tax reporting
• Strong in analytical skill and detail oriented
• Experienced and proficient using e-bukpot, unifikasi, e-form and e-SPT
• Able to work individually or in team
• Good in Microsoft especially Microsoft excel
• Having minimum requirement of 2 years experiences handling Corporate and Withholding Taxes
• Experienced in tax correspondence with tax authority (letter drafting)
