Advisor Study & Permit Jobs

Purpose of the Role:

To lead and manage the Environmental Impact Analysis (EIA/AMDAL) and integrated studies that required for the strategic permits for PT Vale Indonesia (PTVI) strategic business development and Contract of Work (CoW) compliance, in order to achieve company goals in timely manner.

Accountabilities:

1. To manage and prepare the required studies, permits and regulatory process for new and/or developing strategic projects to align with company target (FID and/or construction schedule). This will include studies for the AMDAL (EIA) and its Pre-requisite Permits.
2. Prepare and coordinate the implementation of permitting process by collecting all technical support from related Department or joint venture partner, i.e.technical engineering documents, work scope, specification, GIS data and technical drawings.
3. Identify the required technical/engineering data and information for the study & permit process and working closely with related groups to collect all the required data and develop the study report. This will involve liaising with other investors for joint venture projects, and include coordination with related department within PTVI, such as: Mining, Engineering, Finance, External Relation, and Legal Groups.
4. Prepare procedure for renewal process as necessary by working closely with Legal and External Relations Group and Analyze and communicate the engineering issues with Engineers for the purpose of AMDAL process and/or other approval/permits.
5. Prepare an implementation program and dealing with all parties such as inter-departments within PTVI and Indonesia’s Government Agency, such as Ministry of Environmental and Forestry, Ministry of Public Work, Ministry of Spatial Planning and Land Agency, Ministry of Marine and Fishery, Ministry of Transportation, Provincial Government, Local Government in Regencies, as well other related government agencies.
6. Plan and coordinate an activity such as field audit/observation/ investigation and regular monitoring with related technical government officer as part of study phase and prior to construction stage and during construction including commissioning and operation.

Technical Specializations:

• Understand technical requirements that required for each permitting process.
• Adaptive to change, having strong agility, flexibility and persuasion skill
• Understanding business processes of the nickel laterite mine & ore processing (preferred)
• Understanding AMDAL and other strategic permit process

Requirements:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, Environmental Engineering
• Minimum 5-8 years total working experience, 3 years of working experience in permitting process
• First Operational Supervisor Certification (Pengawas Operasional Pratama) is preferrable.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa.
