One of our client is looking to hire an outstanding professional as their VP Investments to further our Indonesia market coverage and investing activities. Our Client has had success investing in the top Indonesian startups so far and is keen to deepen that further going forward as well as to provide active support to our founders. This role is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Job description:

• Lead potential investment evaluation, diligence and managing the complete investment execution process
• Support our portfolio companies as they continue to grow to the next level
• Develop and form our thesis on key growth and investment themes emerging locally
• Manage touchpoints and relationships with local investors, angels, incubators/ accelerators and other ecosystem participants
• Responsible for market coverage and deal sourcing focused on early & growth stage startups in Indonesia in collaboration with the Jungle team members

Qualifications of the ideal candidate:

• Great project management skills and time management.
• Well entrenched in the startup ecosystem with a network of founders, ecosystem participants and other active angels and co-investors in Indonesia would be a plus.
• Educational background: Top tier university undergraduate degree ideally in engineering or business. Masters/ MBA graduates is a plus.
• At least 5+ years of overall full-time work experience with at least the last 2+ years as either (i) an institutional VC investor in technology startups in the early / growth stages; or (ii) senior leader in business or product roles at the top startups based in Indonesia; or (iii) experienced team leader at the top 5 firms in consulting or investment banking with a focus on technology sector coverage
• Eagerness to learn and able to work with minimal supervision.
